Still not quite in "blog mode".

Despite my best intentions, I haven't updated my blog since the first post, I won't let that put me off though.

Over the past few weeks I have been preparing to take part in an art and craft fair in Uckfield, East Sussex.
I'll be exhibiting along with other members of the Bridge Arts in Uckfield group which is exciting as it will be my first art fair. My stall will feature framed original wildlife paintings along with prints, greetings cards and keyrings. I still have a few things to prepare, so have just compiled my to do list ( is there anything more satisfying than crossing off chores on a list?) which is mostly little last minute tasks that hopefully won't take too long.

The fair has an event page on Facebook, so I will add the link here:-

Ok, I'll sign off now as I can't wait to start crossing off those chores!

My first blog post.

Today I have been updating my website, so I thought I would add in a blog too.
Hopefully it will be a fun way of keeping in touch and adding any interesting news.

Recently I have joined two art groups as a way to get to know some other artists and also to give me the opportunity to exhibit my work.
At the moment I have three of my wildlife paintings hanging in Ayscoughfee Hall in Spalding alongside other paintings by the Spalding Arts and Crafts Society. There is a wide variety of artwork on show ranging from oil paintings to pastel work, it's a privilege to have my work displayed in such a lovely place beside the work of some really talented artists.

I shall make this a short post as I'm keen to see how the new web design looks!

Bye for now!

Christine. :)
