CHRISTINE DOBBIN ART

Wildlife Watercolours and Pet Portraits

About Me

I have always had a passion for art and animals so it has been a joy to create pet portaits for my clients over the years as well as recently spending time building a wildlife art portfolio.

Originally I studied illustration, which is how I discovered my love for the medium of watercolour, this is a skill I have continued to develop since my graduation in 2003.

Hopefully you will enjoy viewing my watercolours as much as I enjoyed painting them!

Collections

Wildlife

From owls to otters and from hippos to hares – I love painting wildlife!

Pet Portraits

When I first started taking commissions I only painted cats, but gradually over the years I have added other furry and feathered pets to my portfolio- click the button below to see some examples.

Dinosaurs

Recently, while having a clear out, I found my old toy dinosaur collection. These retro figures have inspired me to produce a selection of colourful, fun dino prints- a must have for fans of these prehistoric giants!

Latest News

You may notice that my website is not complete yet, please bear with me as I’m learning as I go along- a challenge which I’m actually quite enjoying (of course I’d rather be in my studio painting!)

Relaunch of my Etsy Store

As I have a new selection of prints available I decided to list them for sale on my Etsy store. You can view the prints that are currently available by clicking here.

Four watercolour paintings. One blue and purple stag, one bee on blue flowers, one trio of hens and one rainbow cockerel.

My First YouTube Appearance

Back in August I was invited by The Craft Show to join them on set to chat about my watercolours and to do a demonstration. As much as watching it makes me cringe, I wanted to share the finished video so you can see how I work and to hopefully give you an idea what the person behind the artwork is like.

I was thrilled to be part of the relaunch of this popular YouTube channel and might even record another show with them soon.

You can watch my episode below, hope you enjoy it!
